I am guessing, if you have landed on my page, that there is a chance you are freshly engaged (if so, congratulations!) and possibly deciding whether or not it is worth splashing the extra cash on a wedding planner or coordinator for your special day. So I put together some initial points on what exactly a wedding planner might do and why this might be worth consideration.

Firstly, yes- getting engaged and planning your wedding day is such an exciting time of life. But it can also bring a fair amount of stress to couples. The amount of choice out there, keeping up with trends you supposedly should and shouldn’t be following, what suppliers you should be booking and the amount of pressure on creating this perfect day can lead to things being fairly overwhelming. This is where a wedding planner can bring value for a number of reasons.

As a planner, one of my primary roles is to remove that stress as much as possible from the planning process and give you back the ability to enjoy the magic of such a special period. It is not a case of me removing all of your power in planning your day. Quite the opposite - I want you to still hold the reins, make those key decisions to ensure you are happy with them, but I want to empower you by giving you the tools and advice so you have confidence you are making the right decisions for you as a couple. In having a wedding planner accompany you on your journey towards your day, you will have someone on hand who can guide you wherever you have questions, can recommend suppliers depending on your budget and vision (saving you a lot of researching time), can assist with managing all of the administrative tasks involved in the process such as budget management, payment of invoices, and so on - the list goes on! This is just in the planning process. Arguably equally important is the role your planner has on the day itself. On your special day I will be working tirelessly in the background to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible. From being on hand in the bridal suite adjusting the bride’s veil, to lining up table linen and cutlery, to moving furniture to turn a room around in a matter of hours or even minutes- I am quietly bustling about to leave you free to soak in those special moments.

IIt is also such a huge privilege to be given the opportunity to be a part of such a pivotal moment in a couple’s journey together and one thing I try to bring to couples is the creativity to help curate a day that is not only classical, elegant and memorable, but also most importantly tells a story of what makes you ‘you’.
